SEXUAL VIOLENCE

The issue of violence against girls and young women is on the increase in Nigeria today. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 out of 4 girls is at the risk of sexual assault or been coerced into sex which exposes our young girls to Sexually Transmittable Infections (STI), Teenage Pregnancies (TP), Vesico - vaginal Fistula (VVF) and Trauma.
Mr Okechukwu Mabamgasa who resides at Ishashi, a suburb of Lagos, was recently charged at Ikeja Magistrate Court facing a one count charge.
Mr Okechukwu was said to have seen a young 9 year old girl in the toilet (how sexy!!!) and then decided to rape the innocent girl. He was apprehended but has since been released on bail of N500,000 ($1,500) with 2 sureties in like sum and the case was adjourned to 21st August 2017.
Wonders they say will never end!
Anyways they say no one is guilty until proven so. I am however patiently waiting for August 21, 2017 to see what the verdict will be. However, based on my own opinion, I will prefer he be publicly executed like the pedophile in Yemen who raped and killed a 3 year old girl.
Before I forget, it is the National Women's Day in South Africa.
This day is celebrated every 9th of August in remembrance of the  20,000 women that marched to the Pretoria Union building in 1956 to petition against the Pass Law.
These women all stood in silence for 30minutes before they started singing protest songs. Here is wishing our Bold and Beautiful South African women a wonderful celebration.
