This blog addresses the fact that Gender-based violence is not only the violation of the rights of the girl and young women, the impunity not only generated by the perpetrators goes a long way in affecting the contributions of these girls and young women to the society. 

Mo The Girl Child blog is dedicated to empowering the adolescent girl and young women by addressing gender inequality, inequality based on gender orientation and sexuality etc. This is because for us to achieve a global hope for sustaining development and a peaceful world, we need our girls to know what their rights are.

The act of empowering girls and young women is the smartest thing a society can do in other to promote a healthier and safe society.

According to a report by McKinsey Global Institute which says that if the level of women's participation in the labour market was the same as that of the men's participation, about $28 Trillion will be added to the annual GDP by 2025. These and more is why this blog was brought into existence.
